Abstract

TCP Cookie Transactions (TCPCT) deter spoofing of connections andprevent resource exhaustion, eliminating Responder (server) stateduring the initial handshake. The Initiator (client) has soleresponsibility for ensuring required delays between connections. Thecookie exchange may carry data, limited to inhibit amplification andreflection denial of service attacks. This document defines an Experimental Protocol for the Internet community.
