Abstract

This document specifies the requirements for the management ofequipment used in networks supporting an MPLS Transport Profile(MPLS-TP). The requirements are defined for specification ofnetwork management aspects of protocol mechanisms and proceduresthat constitute the building blocks out of which the MPLSTransport Profile is constructed. That is, these requirementsindicate what management capabilities need to be available inMPLS for use in managing the MPLS-TP. This document is intendedto identify essential network management capabilities, not tospecify what functions any particular MPLS implementationsupports. [STANDARDS-TRACK]
