Abstract

The wide deployment of lower-cost wireless devices will significantlyimprove the productivity and safety of industrial plants whileincreasing the efficiency of plant workers by extending theinformation set available about the plant operations. The aim ofthis document is to analyze the functional requirements for a routingprotocol used in industrial Low-power and Lossy Networks (LLNs) offield devices. This memo provides information for the Internet community.
