Abstract

This document specifies the use of Datagram Transport LayerSecurity (DTLS) over the Datagram Congestion ControlProtocol (DCCP). DTLS provides communications privacy forapplications that use datagram transport protocols andallows client/server applications to communicate in a waythat is designed to prevent eavesdropping and detecttampering or message forgery. DCCP is a transport protocolthat provides a congestion-controlled unreliable datagramservice. [STANDARDS-TRACK]
