Abstract
This document defines algorithms for Authenticated Encryption withAssociated Data (AEAD), and defines a uniform interface and aregistry for such algorithms. The interface and registry can be usedas an application-independent set of cryptoalgorithm suites. Thisapproach provides advantages in efficiency and security, and promotesthe reuse of crypto implementations. [STANDARDS-TRACK]
