Abstract

This document describes a mechanism that enables the Transport LayerSecurity (TLS) server to resume sessions and avoid keeping per-clientsession state. The TLS server encapsulates the session state into aticket and forwards it to the client. The client can subsequentlyresume a session using the obtained ticket. This document obsoletesRFC 4507.
