Abstract

Routing protocols are subject to attacks that can harm individualusers or network operations as a whole. This document provides adescription and a summary of generic threats that affect routingprotocols in general. This work describes threats, including threatsources and capabilities, threat actions, and threat consequences, aswell as a breakdown of routing functions that might beattacked separately. This memo provides information for the Internet community.
