Abstract

This document defines a common terminology for GeneralizedMulti-Protocol Label Switching (GMPLS)-based recovery mechanisms(i.e., protection and restoration). The terminology is independent ofthe underlying transport technologies covered by GMPLS. This memo provides information for the Internet community.
