Metro/Business Reporting Internships
The Las Vegas Review-Journal is offering four summer Metro/Business reporting internships. We’re looking for ambitious, inquisitive and enthusiastic reporters who are eager to use shoe leather to help cover breaking news in this vibrant city while contributing impactful enterprise.
Our ideal candidates are near graduation or recent college graduates who have completed at least one previous internship or have experience working for a college publication or other professional news organization. We’re especially interested in applicants who speak fluent Spanish. Candidates should be able to generate original story ideas, handle breaking news assignments, shoot video and be active on all social media platforms.
Start and end dates for the internships are flexible, but we’re looking for candidates who are able to work between 10 and 12 weeks in the summer.
Las Vegas is as dynamic a news market as anywhere in the country, and the Review-Journal is the area’s dominant news source. Southern Nevada is home to about 2.4 million people, plus up to 200,000 visitors on any given day. It is a diverse metro area with a vibrant downtown and cultural scene, and it’s a half-day drive or less to some of the West’s most spectacular outdoor recreation and national parks.

Las Vegas Review-Journal Photo Internship
The Las Vegas Review-Journal is offering a summer photography internship. We’re looking for ambitious, detail-oriented candidates with a creative eye and the drive to produce dynamic visuals. A Review-Journal internship will provide you with hands-on experience covering a wide array of assignments, including breaking news, major sporting events and world-renowned entertainment.
Your portfolio should show your strength in news, features, sports, portraits and in-depth stories and video. Our ideal candidate is near graduation or is a recent college graduate who has completed at least one previous internship or has experience working for a college publication or other professional news organization. We’re especially interested in applicants who speak fluent Spanish.
Interns are a key part of our robust staff and are called upon to produce content for multiple platforms. Interns are expected to perform like staff members: shooting and editing multiple assignments on deadline, running live-streams and recording video. Interns receive constructive feedback from both editors and staff to improve lighting, composition, lens work, cropping, toning and captions.

Las Vegas Review-Journal Video Internship
The Las Vegas Review-Journal is offering a summer video journalism internship. This is a hands-on opportunity to learn how broadcast video journalism works alongside digital and print to distribute news to Southern Nevada. You will learn live and edited broadcast video production, including editing, writing and reporting techniques, and have an opportunity to pitch and create your own story. You’ll work alongside and collaborate with Review-Journal reporters, anchors, producers, digital team members and social media team members. As part of the internship, you will help cover a wide range of assignments, including breaking news, major sporting events and world-renowned entertainment.
Interns are a key part of our award-winning staff and are expected to perform like staff members: shooting and editing multiple assignments on deadline, running live-streams and recording video. Interns receive constructive feedback from both editors and staff to improve video production including lighting, audio quality, and video capturing techniques. You will have the ability to utilize state-of-the-art web and television technology, video and graphics and use your creativity to inform and engage in written and visual media. You’ll take an active role in discovering, shooting, and creating new content, including stories, videos and podcasts. You will shoot, write, produce, and edit material that appeals to target audiences. We welcome creative ideas, innovation and a collaborative nature. If there is an interest in on-air opportunities, we will ensure you are prepared to report from assignments.
