This Subreddit is dedicated to discussions about Oregon's culture, history and communities. There are other specific subreddits that address the above listed personal matters, including, but not limited to:r/dmv,r/legaladvice,r/50501,r/tenant,r/insurance, etc.
If you're organizing an event, it may be useful doing so in the more localized Oregon Subreddits.
Posts must explicitly involve Oregon in some way, whether discussing the state, a city within it, laws, or related topics.
Healthy discussion is encouraged, but spamming will result in post removal. This includes duplicate posts, duplicate comments, extraneous cross-posting, or posting about topics that have been posted about recently
We do not tolerate any form of violent threats, whether direct or implied, against individuals, groups, or property. This includes joking about harm or encouraging others to engage in violent behavior. Keep discussions respectful and safe for everyone in the community. Violations will result in removal and potential bans.
Under no circumstance are you allowed to promote or advertise any product, business, event, or service. Please contact the mod team for any inquiries regarding posts of public benefit, as some exceptions can be made. Also please refrain from sharing personal accounts, videos, or links to promote yourself, your content, or your channel.

Content that makes claims or implications that can be proven false or misleading will be removed.
Please try to keep the original headline when sharing links. Renaming articles with biased or misleading titles can distort the content and create unnecessary bias.
All usernames and display names must be censored unless they belong to a well-known public figure. Do not encourage brigading or trolling of other subs, harass or mass ping other Redditors, or post about being banned from other subs. Personal information should not be shared without moderator approval (such as details about wanted persons), and any posts regarding missing persons or property must include a police case number and the relevant agency.

Please do not share direct links to X/Twitter. Screenshots from X/Twitter are fine as long as they’re relevant to Oregon and follow the other rules.
LFT posts must meet the following guidelines:
The business must be based in Oregon.
The business must have online sales and offer statewide delivery.
Posts should include a photo of the business or product.
Post should explain why you recommend the business with at least 100 words.
Crossposting is only allowed for major news or significant discussion threads. If you have a question for the subreddit, please make a new post instead of crossposting. iIt helps encourage better engagement and more relevant replies.
