Civility Guidelines

Be respectful of others. This sub should remain a civil place.

IPSW Guidelines

No links to any site that is used for sharing beta IPSW files. Posting or requesting such links will result in a ban. Users who do not want to sign up for a dev profile may use the Public Beta Program.

NOT ALLOWED:

Posting a direct link or giving guidance on how to find any site offering downloads of IPSW files.
Offering/requesting these links via DM from users.
Offering/requesting login credentials for an Apple Developer account.

Post Title Guidelines

All posts must be appropriately titled and descriptive.

All posts related to a specific beta software must include a title tag, enclosed in brackets, with the specific beta version. The title tag should be placed at the beginning of the post.

Correct titling example:”[iOS 26 DB1] Weather widget displays incorrect location.”

Submission Guidelines

The following do not fulfill our Submission Guidelines:

Low quality submissions that do not foster reasonable discussion. These are generally small issues that don't justify a dedicated post.
Performance posts related to battery life and device performance.
Posts about beta release timelines.
Posts about apps that are in beta or TestFlight.
Posts about apps that implement beta software features.
Posts asking if specific apps work on beta software.

Reposting Guidelines

Reposted or re-hosted content will be removed. For reposts, please sort by “new” or search the subreddit to determine if the content you wish to post has already been posted by another user.

Re-hosting involves transferring content from its original source to a different hosting platform. In the context of this subreddit, reposting an article from another website instead of composing a new post is considered re-hosting.

Relevancy Guidelines

All posts & comments must be relevant to the topic of the sub. This sub is dedicated to iOS Betas, and all discussion should pertain to these betas.

There are separate subreddits for watchOS Betas, macOS Betas, HomePodOS betas and TVOS Betas. Links can be found in the side bar.

Complaint Guidelines

While we acknowledge that you may be encountering issues or bugs with the beta version, we ask that you refrain from making complaint posts.

All bugs should be reported to Apple through the Feedback App, thereby contributing to the improvement of the beta experience.

Release Post Guidelines

Posts for new beta releases will be posted by the Mod team to ensure consistency between each post. Any posts by users will be removed.

Promotion Guidelines

Do not self-promote your own website, YouTube channels, videos, or blog posts. Refrain from posting news with minimal/recycled content.

This Rule also applies to Developers promoting their own apps. If a Developer wishes to do an AMA/promote your app, please modmail us first. Please read Reddit's self-promotion guidelines. Moderators will use discretion.

Graphic & NSFW Guidelines

NSFW content is not allowed in our sub. If you see a post containing graphic or NSFW content, please report it to us so that we can remove it quickly

Mod Discretion

Moderators may remove a post or comment at any time, with or without notice, for any reason they see fit. We are here to facilitate reasonable and constructive discussion among Reddit users, and if we see something that goes against our mission we will remove it.

Karma & Account Age Requirement

In order to mitigate spam on our subreddit, users must accumulate a minimum of 10comment karma to participate inr/iOSBeta. Additionally, all accounts must be at least 72 hours old. To accumulate karma, users are encouraged to post comments on other subreddits and receive upvotes.
