TLDR; If you open Exit the Gungeon without an internet connection it will launch the trial version of the game(only 1st chapter) even if you purchased it. Don’t purchase the game until they fix it.

I just asked for a refund from Apple for Exit the Gungeon due to a game breaking bug.

I prefer to play fast paced mobile friendly roguelike games because travel a lot daily and they are perfect for quick burst of gameplay. That is why I prefer Exit the Gungeon over Enter the Gungeon. It is a game made for mobile first, faster gameplay, better touchscreen friendly controls etc. I used to play a lot of Enter the Gungeon on PC so I love the title.

However because I travel a lot and I prefer my iPad mini(Wi-Fi only model) for games I am having this problem with the game. Whenever I open the game when I am not at home, it opens as I never purchased the game before and ask me to purchase it / or / restore purchases. When I am at home I open the game while connected the Wi-Fi and it is fine. Next day It asks me to restore purchase again.

I already created another post here and they replied that they acknowledged the problem. But that was more than a month ago. I am assuming it should be an easy fix since Enter the Gungeon had a similar problem and the fixed it within a week after the first launch.

Considering they are on radio silence, either they don’t have any plans to fix the issue, or it is very low priority for them since they are focused on elsewhere. In either cases, it is unacceptable since this is not a simple random bug. It is a game breaking bug. I literally can’t play the game I paid for.

It is personally unplayable for me as I prefer to play these games on transit. So I asked a refund. If you are in a similar situation, be careful and don’t buy it until they release an update with a fix, if they ever do it.

I bought Enter the Gungeon on my Xbox and phone. I noticed that Gungeon has online Co-Op on mobile but not console. Is there going to be online Co-Op for console any time soon?

Heads up, Gungeon mobile players!

We just pushed an update that fixes:

- Touch controls not working with active items.
- Guest players couldn’t select “Return” with controller.
- Players kept walking when opening menus in multiplayer.
