Other than for RailBus Coach Connections, we cannot guarantee your connections between our service and other sectors in your journey and are not liable for losses you incur if you miss a connection because our service is disrupted or cancelled.
You should ensure that you book your Queensland Rail Travel with sufficient leeway for unexpected delays, and that you have appropriate travel insurance to protect against this risk.
Where possible, we try to assist you to make your connections or can help arrange alternative transportation, so if you have a connection reliant on our service, you should:
- Book your Queensland Rail Travel network service to arrive at your destination station at least three (3) hours prior to the 'check in' time for your connecting service (don't forget to allow additional time for the transfer from our train to your connecting service).
- Let us know when you book your service or get onboard that you have a connection.
- If your service is running late and you think you might miss your connection please let an onboard team member know as soon as possible.
Taxi bookings can be difficult to secure in many regional railway stations, especially if you are arriving early in the morning or later at night.
