Klopp named May's Barclays Manager of the Month

German recognised after leading Liverpool to a perfect run that earned them a top-four finish
Jurgen Klopp has been named the Barclays Manager of the Month for May.
Klopp receives the prize after overseeing five straight victories asLiverpool made a late surge into the UEFA Champions League spots and secured a third-place finish on the final day.

The month began with a 2-0 home win overSouthampton, followed by a 4-2 success atManchester United.
GoalkeeperAlisson then headed in a last-gasp winner atWest Bromwich Albion before the Reds earned another away victory overBurnley and beatCrystal Palace in their last match.
Klopp has now won nine Barclays monthly awards, moving level withManchester City'sPep Guardiola.
OnlySir Alex Ferguson,Arsene Wenger andDavid Moyes have picked up more in the competition's history.
Klopp beat Moyes to May's accolade, along with their fellow nomineesMikel Arteta andMarcelo Bielsa.
