At this year’sPGConf.dev, the premier gathering for PostgreSQL contributors, developers, and community leaders,Zhijie Hou and I had the opportunity talk about the challenges and solutions around conflict handling in logical replication — a topic increasingly relevant as PostgreSQL adoption continues to grow.

AtPGConf India 2025, I shared strategies for upgrading PostgreSQL replication clusters with no disruption to operations—highlighting examples and the evolving capabilities of logical replication.

Earlier this year, I had the pleasure of speaking at PGConf India 2025, where I presented on one of the most exciting advancements in PostgreSQL 17—how logical replication is now more resilient and failover-ready with failover logical slots—and today, I’m excited to share the slides from that talk with you.

PGConf-India 2025 was amazing—a hub of innovation, collaboration, and deep technical discussions! This year, the conference welcomed participants from80+ cities across 20+ countries, bringing together some of the brightest minds in the PostgreSQL world.

PostgreSQL has released a new version, with a host of updates and improvement to the world’s most advanced open-source database. In this blog post, I want to take you through the key new features implemented in PostgreSQL 17.

ThePostgreSQL Development Conference 2024 was held earlier this year for the community to nurture the further expansion of PostgreSQL. Fujitsu's OSS team was delighted to give 2 talks in this year's exciting line-up that highlights topics on PostgreSQL development and community growth, featuring stories from users, developers, and community organizers.

Fujitsu Enterprise Postgres proudly sponsored FOSSASIA Summit 2024, an enthusiastic gathering of innovators and collaborators in open source technology held in Hanoi, Vietnam, engaging 5,000+ participants from 50 countries.

I am part of the Fujitsu OSS Postgres team, a group of Postgres engineers at Fujitsu work that have been working continuously to deliver contributions to the community since 2019. I would like to reflect on my past year and also share with you my endeavours for the year.

It has been over 20 years that Postgres developers in Fujitsu have been joining the open source community to grow and expand. We have been brought together as a dedicated team in 2019 as Fujitsu OSS Postgres team. In this blog, I have the pleasure of talking about my experience so far.

Postgres engineers at Fujitsu have been contributing to the community to enhance OSS PostgreSQL features for enterprise adoption, in the areas such as replication and performance. In this blog, I would like to give you a brief look on how I take on my day-to-day activities and what I am passionate about.

We at Fujitsu have been actively contributing to the PostgreSQL opensource community since 2003, participating in the development of new features, bug fixes, and code review. Today I would like to talk about what a typical day is like as a Postgres engineer.

I am constantly impressed by the talent and commitment of the Fujitsu engineers that work hard to make PostgreSQL the best database in the market. So, I thought that more people should know these passionate professionals, and what a day in their life is like.

Earlier this year, I was in Canada for PGConf 2023, where I talked about the evolution of PostgreSQL from a Berkeley research project to its current status as the most advanced open-source database, and discussed the various changes introduced for PostgreSQL 16, particularly regarding logical replication.

Fujitsu Enterprise Postgres was a proud sponsor of PG Conf India this past month, where over 400 attendees, representing 60 cities, across 10 countries travelled to Bangalore in India. Over three days, guests engaged in training workshops, Lightning Talks, and presentations encapsulating the latest contributions, knowledge sharing, updates, and hot topics in the wider open-source PostgreSQL...

After a long season of no in-person events due the pandemic, I can say with certainty that attending the Open Source Summit event in Dublin along with my fellow Fujitsu representatives was not only thoroughly enjoyable, but also a great opportunity to catch up with the community. Here are my thoughts.
