TheSlapstick Crescent (カワスベール^?, lit.: "Slippery Peel") is afruit inPikmin 3 and atreasure inPikmin 4. It is abanana, and inPikmin 3, is found buried in theTropical Wilds. It produces 2 and a half bottles of juice (one and a quarter inUltra-Spicy mode), similar to a boss fruit. InPikmin 4, it has a sticker on with a generic banana brand, and appears in theSerene Shores andGiant's Hearth.

Collecting the fruit[edit]

In theTropical Wilds, first go to the northern area containing theseesaw blocks. Nearby, there should be a large body of water. On land, there are twoFiery Blowhogs which should be killed. In the water, there will be aPeckish Aristocrab. This will need to be killed as it will be very troublesome for retrieving the fruit if it is still alive. After that, you will reach a dry spot with a small part of the fruit sticking out the ground. You can then set the Pikmin to startdigging it up. It is recommended to do this early in the day and to bring about 30-40Blue Pikmin to speed up digging as the Slapstick Crescent will take a very long time to dig up. Alternatively, activating abomb rock next to the fruit will cause it to instantly become unearthed. This works with all fruits, but it is most valuable with this fruit, especially forspeedruns, as it is very time-consuming to unearth it and retrieve it otherwise.

Collecting the treasure[edit]

Serene Shores[edit]

There is a Slapstick Crescent on a small ledge at the easternmost lake of the overworld, a bit to the northeast of the lake's center. It is submerged during high tide and exposed during low tide. To collect this treasure, you must throw 15Blue Pikmin at it.

Giant's Hearth[edit]

There is a Slapstick Crescent hanging from a cobweb to the northeast of the grill at the center of the area. It is guarded by twoMama Sheargrubs, which should be defeated before attempting to collect it. To collect this treasure, you must throw 15 Pikmin at it.

"Slapstick" is a form of comedy with exaggerated physical actions, in which the banana is often known for banana peel slips. "Crescent" refers to the fruit's curved "C"-like shape.

• The Slapstick Crescent and thePocked Airhead are the only fruits that aren't given by a boss which give 2.5 bottles of juice.
• The European text for Brittany's log mentions that "Alph's gone absolutely bananas". This indicates thatKoppaites might have some idea of what a banana is, or have a similar expression or object in their language, that is different from a real world banana.
• Modern day bananas, primarily Cavendish, do not have seeds and are technically sterile. This would make collecting the fruit pointless for the purpose of the Koppaites' mission inPikmin 3, as they would not be able to extract any seeds from it to cultivate.
  • Despite this, the Slapstick Crescent is still required for the all-fruits ending, implying that the Koppaites were either able to extract seeds from the banana, or otherwise duplicate it.
• The sticker on the Slapstick Crescent inPikmin 4 is the same one seen on certain BananaDecor Pikmin inPikmin Bloom.
