TheProton X (プロトンＸ^?) is atreasure exclusive to the Japaneseversion ofPikmin 2. It is a National Hi-Top AA battery. It is found inSubmerged Castle on sublevel 4, and is the equivalent of theProton AA.

Text:“この星で最初に見つけたお宝によく似ている。だがよく見ると、大きさが少し違うようだ。たまには以前のお宝一覧を読み返してみようか。苦労した思い出にふける夜も悪くない。”
- Translation:“This object resembles the first treasure I found on this planet. Looking at it, however, the size seems to be a little different. Perhaps I should reread the treasure hoard sometime. Nights spent indulging in memories of old work aren't too bad...”
English Proton AA notes:“This object resembles the first treasure I found on this planet, so it holds certain sentimental value to me. However, I've just noticed that the size it slightly different. Sometime, I should take the time to read my previous treasure log book. It's good to reflect on the past sometimes...”
