TheFastening Item (つなぎとめるもの^?, lit.: "Fastening Thing ") is atreasure inPikmin 4. It is a bluebutton. It can be found three times duringStory Mode, once on theDream Home's 1st sublevel, and twice in thePrimordial Thicket.

There is a Fastening Item inside of abreakable pot along the eastern edge of the sublevel. It is guarded by aGildemandwee, which should be defeated before attempting to collect this treasure, although it is not strictly necessary. To collect this treasure, you must break the pot with aRush fromOatchi or by using items.

Primordial Thicket[edit]

There are two Fastening Items lying on a platform near the northwestern edge of thePrimordial Thicket. They are guarded by aBogswallow, which might be defeated before attempting to collect these treasures, although it is not necessary to do so, depending on where your base is. You're best bet is to move theS.S. Beagle over to The Maple Bridge base (the one guarded by multiplenectar eggs), as it allows for a straight path for the two treasures to be collected.Mitites will appear from some of the eggs, so havingPurple Pikmin in yoursquad will be useful.

“This item would have been placed between two objects and used to connect them. It's not clear what these objects might have been, but something such as this would have done the job gently and aptly. At least, that's my best guess!”
