For the Dandori Battle difficulties, seeDandori Battle#Dandori Battle mode.

Pikmin 3 Deluxe andPikmin 4 each have 3difficulty modes, calledcreature Activity Level modes inPikmin 4. These modes alter aspects of the game in order to adjust how easy or hard it is.

InPikmin 3 Deluxe, upon creating a save file, the player will be prompted to choose a difficulty. There are 3 options:Normal (ふつう?),Hard (むずかしい?), andUltra-Spicy (ゲキカラ?), in increasing order of difficulty. Ultra-Spicy difficulty is unlocked once the player has completed Story Mode in Hard difficulty, or completed thedemo. At any point in the story, in thesaved game selection menu, the player can pressthe ZR Button on the Switch to change a file's difficulty, but doing so prevents the player from earning anybadge related to completingStory Mode in a given difficulty, in that file. If the player uses this option to change to the same difficulty the file is already at, nothing will happen.

InPikmin 4, upon creating a save file, the player will be prompted to choose a creature Activity Level. There are 3 options:Relaxed,Normal, andFierce, in increasing order of difficulty. The creature Activity Level can be changed at any time in thesettings menu, but doing so sets the difficulty shown at thefinal results menu of that saved game to the lowest difficulty set for the run, even if the difficulty was changed back.
