MANILA, Philippines - Si Mark Caguioa ng Barangay Ginebra San Miguel ang nahirang na Accel Player of the Week ng PBA Press Corps para sa nakaraang linggo mula Nov. 5 hang­gang 11.

Tinalo ni Caguioa para sa nasabing parangal sina Jeff Chan ng Rain or Shine, Joe Devance ng San Mig Coffee at Mike Cortez ng Air21.

Nag-average si Caguioa ng 20.5 points, 6,5 rebounds, 2.5 assists at 1.5 steals sa dalawang naging panalo ng Kings sa Globalport at two-time defending champion Talk ‘N Text noong nakaraang Linggo.

Kontra sa Tropang Texters ay nakapagpakitang-gilas pa rin si Caguioa bagama’t nagkasugat sa kaliwang ki­lay pagkatapos na aksidenteng tinamaan ni TNT center Ali Peek.

“Mark exemplifies the spirit of Ginebra,” pahayag ni Barangay Ginebra head coach Siot Tanquingcen. “Tulad kagabi, kahit dumugo na ‘yung mata bumalik pa rin siya at naglaro pa din. And when we needed the big baskets he stepped up.”
