Overseas visits
From 10 to 12 September 2011 I visited Barcelona to attend the National Day of Catalonia and give apresentation in the town of Riudecanyes. The costs of flights to and from Barcelona (£216.54) were met by theProvincial Council of Riudecanyes (the local authority of Riudecanyes of Town Hall Carrer Dimecres, 9 43771, Riudecanyes) and accommodation costs (£200) were met by Esquerra Republicana de Catalunya (a politicalparty in Catalonia and currently the opposition in the Catalonian Parliament of National Office of ERC Calàbria, 166 08015, Barcelona).
From 6 to 9 December 2024 I visited Doha to participate as a speaker at the Doha Forum in a session titled Diplomacy and Dialogue, Combatting Islamaphobia and Antisemitism. The costs of travel (£7,000) and accommodation (£1,350) were met by the Permanent Committee for Organising Conferences, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Qatar (of Al Mirqab Tower, West Bay, Doha) which organises the logistics of conferences held in the country. In February 2008 I visited the United States as part of the US Department of State’s International VisitorLeadership Program. The United States Government met the cost of this visit, which was US $6,710.32(£3415.55 at February 2008 exchange rates).

Voluntary
On 2 and 3 September 2024 I delivered presentations focussed on issues related to Scotland's experience of devolution over the last 25 years, at the Centre for Humanitarian Dialogue in Geneva. Travel and accommodation costs were covered by the Centre for Humanitarian Dialogue. The approximate cost of travel was £660 and the approximate cost of accommodation for two nights was £430.
