Why are there two values?
Since April 2017 (or April 2025 if electric), all cars with a list price over £40,000, including any optional extras, are charged an additional annual rate of road tax, but only on the first five occasions it is renewed. After that the standard rate applies. The two figures shown reflect these two scenarios.
What does this mean?
Mpg measured under the WLTP test standard. WLTP is the current standard for measuring car fuel economy, in place since 2017.
What does this mean?
Mpg measured under the test standard in place prior to March 31 2017. Note that the current standard (WLTP) generally provides significantlylower figures that are closer to real world experience. Mpg figures generated under the two different standards cannot be meaningfully compared.

Tank range based on mpg measured under the WLTP test standard. WLTP is the current standard for measuring car fuel economy, in place since 2017.

Why can't I select this?
To ensure fair comparison, this filter only uses official figures gathered under the current "WLTP" test system, introduced in April 2017, which gives results closer to real world driving than the previous measurement system. Therefore cars made before that date won't show up in results when using this filter.
