- Publix is OK with some hopped-up dude walking around in a store with a .45 strapped to his hip? What are they going to do when a guy with a bad attitude bumps into a customer and shoots him? Seriously? They say they ” following the law. ” The law explicitly says that private companies can prohibit guns in their premises. This is insane and I will shop elsewhere. They are putting their customers and employees at risk.
- I guess Publix BOGO now means buy one, gun one.
- I am ticked off that some TV sportscasters misuse the words “well” and “good.” Well is an adverb. Good is an adjective. It’s poor grammar to say “He played good.” Use the adverb instead. “He played well.” For instance: “That was a good play. The quarterback is playing well.” Adjectives go with nouns, adverbs with verbs. Got it?
- I am ticked off that the exercise one has to go through to prove “I am not a robot” and the need to check each. We all do not have 20-20 eyesight!
- I am ticked off at a 7-11’s store management on Colonial Drive. They have an air conditioner with bad ball bearings. The system lets out a loud high pitched noise, constantly. This can easily damage employees’ and customers’ hearing. When I asked a couple of the employee why they don’t fix it, they respond, “I don’t hear the noise.”
- I’m ticked off that the Orange County Supervisor of Elections expects me to mail back a postcard including my signature, name, address, and voter registration as a “verification.” No secure transfer of private information is afforded and, though voluntary, the website states that failure to verify your information could mean that “your status as an active voter might change over time.” Right.
- Please, would Channel 9 regulate their audio to provide a consistent audio level? The level is set for normal segments, then a commercial comes on at a blaring level. And get rid of the annoying steals and deals, too.
