Biography: Ernie Toshack was an Australian cricketer who played as a left-arm medium-fast bowler. He was an integral member of the Australian cricket team in the late 1940s, particularly known for his role in the "Invincibles" tour of England in 1948, where Australia went undefeated in their Test matches.

Toshack's partnership with fellow bowlers Ray Lindwall andKeith Miller was highly effective, and the trio were instrumental in several key Australian victories of the era. His best Test performance came against India in 1947, where he took 11 wickets for 31 runs in a single match.

Unfortunately Toshack's career was plagued by injuries, and he was forced to retire at a relatively young age.
