Between 1985 and 2010, he won 20 Grammy Awards, an Academy Award, 4 MTV Music Video Awards, and 2 Golden Globe Awards.
He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1999, his first year of eligibility.

In October, 2017 "Springsteen On Broadway" - a one man show of songs and stories, based on his memoir - opened; planned for an 8 week run, it was extended by popular demand three times, running through June of 2018, garnering him a Tony Award. A special encore run in the summer of 2021 re-opened Broadway after the pandemic closure.
