Nubi is a creole language based on Sudanese Arabic and spoken in Uganda and Kenya by about 50,100 people. There are about 28,800 speakers of Nubi in southern Uganda, mainly around the town of Bombo in Luweero District of the Central Region. In Kenya there are about 21,300 Nubi speakers, mainly in the Kibera division of Nairobi.
Nubi is also known as Kinubi, Ki-Nubi, Kinúbi or Rután Núbi. It is written with a version of the Arabic alphabet.
