Ka-Pat / Tanchangya

The Ka-Pat or Tanchangya alphabet was created in Myanmar in 2012 by Rupak Debnath. It is based on Chakma alphabet, and has similarities to the Burmese and Mon alphabets. It is used to write Tanchangya is a Eastern Indo-Aryan language spoken mainly in southeastern Bangladesh, and also in the northeast of India, and in southwestern Myanmar. In Bangladesh it is written with the Bengali alphabet.
