Bontoc (Finallig)

Bontoc is a member of the Northern Luzon branch of the Malayo-Polynesian language family. It is spoken in Mountain Province (Lalawigang Bulubundukin) in northern Luzon in the Philippines. In 2007 there were 41,000 speakers of Bontoc.

According toEthnologue there are five Bontok languages: Central Bontok, Eastern Bontok, Northern Bontok, Southern Bontok and Southwestern Bontok. Central Bontok has the most speakers - about 19,600.
