Biography

Carol Moseke was a discus thrower for the University of Nebraska and the Nebraska Track Club. She was a two-time AAU Champion in 1966-67, and in 1967, won a gold medal at the Pan American Games in the discus. She continued to compete in masters’ track & field, winning multiple national titles and setting multiple world age-group records in the shot put, discus throw, and javelin throw.

Moseke-Frost later became a teacher and coach, including an assistant coach in high school football, and as a track coach at the University of Nebraska. In 1996 she was inducted into the Nebraska High School Sports Hall of Fame. Her son, Scott Frost, later played a few years in the NFL and then became a top collegiate football coach, moving to his alma mater, also the University of Nebraska in 2018.

Personal Bests: SP – 46-7½ (14.21) (1968); DT – 174-6 (53.19) (1971); JT – 146-5 (44.63) (1968).
