have you all heard of leann rimes?  u.s. country singer who has a beautiful voice with songs like 'how do i live?'?  well, you need to check out mindy mccready!  the gorgeous artist in my icon pic.  she sadly took her own life in 2013, BUT had 1 of the most beautiful country singing voices i've ever heard!  her debut album '10,000 angels' is my very fave of her catalog, you all should check it out.  here are some of her best sung tracks:

        1. have a nice day/https://www.youtube.c*m/watch?v=rQjyv4jVHvo *my personal fave!  she sings sooooo beautiful on this one!*

and congrats to taylor swift, she was just named time magazine's 'person of the year' here in america.  and is the republican party mad at her LOL!  it's hilarious seeing all these gop pundits constantly attacking her over stupid things like her encouraging her fans to register to vote.  but i gotta give her credit, she rarely responds to these pundits.  but this latest honor by time magazine has the gop base riled up...i don't see the problem though.  she's highly influential over here and that's who time magazine picked.

hey what's up mates!  so sorry i haven't been able to chat with everyone lately.  oh, the artist in my icon pic is mindy mccready...u.s. country artist who was the exact same age as me...she sadly passed away in 2013.  she had a very beautiful voice with songs like '10,000 angels', 'you'll never know'.  @ the time of her debut album, shania twain was very big in the states, i didn't hear too much of mindy back then.  she unfortunately made bigger headlines towards the end of her life with all kinds of personal problems, even being dropped from about 2 different record labels...but she was still an amazing artist.

Extremely disappointing that Fairytale of New York isn't number 1 this week. I really can't understand the appeal of All I Want For Christmas Is You and Last Christmas - extremely overrated and overplayed Christmas songs in my opinion. Would love to see The Pretenders break the top 40 this year, along with Waitresses.

This week is again a copy/paste of the 40 first songs from the Top 100.

        The #s 19,  21, 22, 23, 24, 28, 29, 30, 32, 35, 38 and 39 should be marked as (Re) Re-Entry in the Top 40 as they appear only for the first time in the Top4 this season.

I preferred much more the old chart's layout, it was more accurate than this one.

There are three Christmas songs that are absent from the Top 100 and it surprises me:
December Will Be Magic Again by Kate Bush (my all-time favourite at this time of year),
Christmas Wrapping by The Waitresses, and
Little Drummer Boy by David Bowie and Bing Crosby.
I really hope Sleaford Mods are no.1 for Christmas - all sales go to Shelter charity, plus it's available on physical formats. This year has been brilliant seeing vinyl 7"s/45s return. It really helped The Beatles.

Could someone explain how come Jorja Smith is at #26 with a holiday song that is an exclusive Amazon release? Is Amazon so big in the UK that an exclusive release can chart higher than songs that get a lot of streams on every platform…? Or am I missing something

Whats the point of showing the peak possition when you dont know your own stats, Christmas singles by Boney M, Plastic Ono Band, Wizzard, Paul McCartney to name a few & plenty more i guess all charted higher originally when first released, doesn't anyone check your own stats ??

Why does it show Mary's Boy Child/O My Lord to have peaked at number 26? It was the Christmas number one for 4 weeks in 1978 and one of the biggest selling songs of the 1970s!!!

I noticed that too, how odd! I am pretty sure that Wizzard and The Plastic Ono band singles were BIG Top 10 hits? Maybe the 70's didn't just lose TOTP recordings, maybe the entire decade got wiped!

I think they always used to count the first time something charted on streams as if it were a 're-issue', as it's effectively then got a different catalogue number. That said, it seems to have become wildly inconsistent in recent years. They can't even get the names of the tracks right sometimes, which doesn't help. (e.g. Tina Turner's "The Best" was listed as "Simply The Best" when it charted after she died, so that one definitely won't tally up with the history as the title is wrong!).

Yeah, that site can be a little difficult for songs with common titles.

I'd recommend typing them out on BuzzJack (the second link above) if you want to get into making personal charts. It's more manual but also easier to understand and way better with notifications.
