"Difference tends to be the BPM (for the most part it seems drills catching up) in the beats and also the general theme of it. Grime tracks tend to be fast paced and quite punchy with the sounds where as Drill tends to be a lot slower and relies on more melodies. Hi hats tend to be used more in grime too.

Other than that the flows tend to be completely different with grime having a much faster pattern. Lyrics can be similar but drill tends to be more violent and actually targeted at someone/somewhere where as grime tends to be more in general."

Definitely. It's insanely popular at the moment and even though the lyrics and messaging are distasteful at best, the numbers are what matter for chart success.

What is ACR?

Accelerated Chart Ratio.

Basically, when a song has been on the charts for at least 10 weeks & has three consecutive weeks of decline in performance, only half of its streams will count towards the chart. I thoroughly disagree with the idea of it! :/

In fact, every song that isn't already on/ineligible for ACR is on first decline besides the ones I mentioned earlier + Giants, Perfect and For The Night, which are on 0 week decline :S

It's actually doing well on airplay in the UK, but it's struggling more on sales & streaming unfortunately.
