Wednesday: Northwest 20 knots but southwest 15 knots south of Cape Kidnappers, becoming variable 10 knots everywhere early morning. Southerly 15 knots developing late morning, rising to westerly 20 knots in the evening. Moderate sea easing for a time. South of Tokomaru Bay: southeast swell 2 metres. Elsewhere: northeast sell 2 metres. Fair visibility in showers north of Mahia Peninsula.

Thursday: Westerly 25 knots, easing to northwest 15 knots south of East Cape in the morning. Sea rough. Moderate easterly swell, but moderate northwest swell north of East Cape.
Friday: Becoming westerly 35 knots but 25 knots north of East Cape early. Becoming westerly 25 knots everywhere in the morning. Sea becoming very rough for a time. Moderate southeast swell, but moderate northwest swell north of East Cape.
Saturday: Southwest 20 knots, becoming westerly 15 knots but northerly 20 knots south of East Cape later. South of East Cape: Moderate southeast swell easing. North of East Cape: Moderate northwest swell dying out.
