Southerly 15 knots developing late morning, rising to westerly 20 knots in the evening. Moderate sea easing for a time. South of Tokomaru Bay: southeast swell 2 metres. Elsewhere: northeast sell 2 metres. Fair visibility in showers north of Mahia Peninsula.

Thursday: Westerly 25 knots, easing to northwest 15 knots south of East Cape in the morning. Sea rough. Moderate easterly swell, but moderate northwest swell north of East Cape.
Friday: Becoming westerly 35 knots but 25 knots north of East Cape early. Becoming westerly 25 knots everywhere in the morning. Sea becoming very rough for a time. Moderate southeast swell, but moderate northwest swell north of East Cape.
Saturday: Southwest 20 knots, becoming westerly 15 knots but northerly 20 knots south of East Cape later. South of East Cape: Moderate southeast swell easing. North of East Cape: Moderate northwest swell dying out.
