Skin whitening extract from Citrus tachibana of the Rutaceae Family
CHINPI EXTRACT K65B™ is a skin whitening extract derived from the peel of tachibana oranges (Citrus tachibana), a member of the Rutaceae family.
The tachibana orange is the first citrus plant to appear in Japan’s historical records. In fact, many poems about the tachibana orange can be found in Manyoshu, Japan’s oldest anthology of poetry. The peel for the tachibana orange is known as the Chinese herbal medicine “Kippi.” From long ago, the peel has been used in Japan as a folk medicine.
1. Features
- Inhibits melanin formation
CHINPI EXTRACT K65B™ inhibits melanogenesis in HM3KO cultured human melanoma cells.
It acts as a skin whitening extract by inhibiting melanogenesis through suppression of the biosynthesis of tyrosinase. - Active ingredients identified
