Each child receives a special personal activity kit - “A Library Experience” - to help them explore the Library through their own eyes.
Please note:
The tour is suitable for children who can read (ages 5-11).
Tickets are required for all participants over age 3. Adults also require a ticket.
Looking for an enjoyable activity for kids at the National Library? “A Library Experience” is our family activity kit, which invites children to set out on their own journey through our permanent exhibition and discover its treasures in an imaginative and interactive way.
The kit includes a colorful, illustrated booklet that guides children along the exhibition, with activities of exploration, discovery, and creativity. It's perfect for families with curious children who love asking questions and uncovering new worlds!
The kit can be purchased at the information desk, in the main lobby on level 0 (suitable for children ages 5-11).
Please note: The kit is intended to be used during your visit to the permanent exhibition, after purchasing a ticket for independent entry.
1. Best to drop off your bags and other belongings at the coat check counter. This makes touring the Library that much easier.
2. Did you bring thereally little ones with you? There’s a diaper changing station and a nursing room on level -2.
3. At the entrance to the exhibitions you can find our audio guide headsets. Don’t forget to choose the audio track for families, which we created just for you!
4. In our permanent exibition space, we have some special viewing stations for children spread around the hall – try and find them! Hint: These will let you see our greatest masterpieces from a slightly different perspective. Parents are also invited to take a peek.😊
5. You can talk, laugh, and especially ask questions throughout the National Library of Israel – but when you enter the large reading halls, please remember to keep quiet!
