Michelle J. Hooth, Ph.D., D.A.B.T.

Michelle J. Hooth, Ph.D., D.A.B.T.

Audience: 9-12th grade, undergraduates, graduate students, and community organizations

Dr. Hooth is a toxicologist in the Toxicology Branch, National Toxicology Program, National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences. She is the group leader for the General Toxicology Group. Her primary responsibilities include the design, interpretation and reporting of toxicity and carcinogenicity studies for the National Toxicology Program. She also coordinates preparation of the NTP technical reports.

She received a B.S. in Biological Sciences from Michigan State University and a Ph.D. in Toxicology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She completed post-doctoral training in the Environmental Carcinogenesis Division, National Health and Environmental Effects Research Laboratory, U.S. EPA. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Toxicology.
