Michelle R. Campbell, M.B.
Biography
Michelle Campbell is a molecular biologist with almost 20 years of laboratory research experience in the study of biology on a molecular level such as DNA, RNA and proteins as well as genes, their function, and epigenetics (heritable changes in gene function that occur without a change in the sequence of the DNA). She completed her Masters in Biotechnology from the University of Pennsylvania in 2003 where she studied the mechanistic link between development of the skeleton and blood cells in bone marrow. She then took a Biologist position in the environmental genomics laboratory at NIEHS. Recently, her research has focused on how genetic variations in molecular pathways respond to the environment. Ms. Campbell lives in Durham, NC with her husband and two daughters.
