Woods has surgery again Golfer Tiger Woods had a second microdiscectomy surgery on his back this week and will be sidelined the rest of the year. Woods said Friday on his website that he had surgery Wednesday in Park City, Utah. Woods said: “This is certainly disappointing, but I’m a fi ghter. I’ve been told I can make a full recovery, and I have no doubt that I will.” Winless this season, Woods failed to qualify for the PGA Tour’s FedEx Cup playoff s.
