Boston Eagles Beat Connecticut (Cont. from Page 1, this Section.) points. Aggies Lack Strength. off up the side-lines. He had an engagement at the other end of the field and he kept it. Two or three sets of Eagle talons reached for him, but he completed the sprint well in front of the straggling parade. He missed the goal, but the score of 19 to 6 looked better from an Aggie viewpoint. A forward pass nearly produced another Aggie touchdown in this period. Ryan flipped one straight into Fisher's hands when Leo was free from the scramble of traffic. It was one of those passes which you couldn't miss if you deliberately tried to. But Leo tried to catch it and it sifted through his fingers. Subs Come In. About this time Coach McKeney started shooting in his second stringers and in a young man named Antos, who replaced Mirley he had another one of those rangey, bounding backs who cover the width of Asylum Avenue in a stride. Antos whirled around the ends for two 20 yard gains and placed the ball twenty yards from the Aggie goal line. Here Bond took to the air, drew bead on Hafferty and let fly. Hafferty caught the ball and twisted out of a tackler's arms on the five yard line to slide across for a touchdown. @After Kennedy had intercepted allother pass and run 25 yards through a broken field. to Connecticut's 35 yard marker. Kennedy was down once, but he bounded to his feet and added another five yards before the Aggies swarmed in and buried him. Immediately Bond hurled a long pass to a substitute, end Gibbons who scored. was the third touch-| down which B. C. had scored on perfectly timed forward passes. Bond missed the goal and the score was 32 to 6 at half time. McKeney sent out a new backfield quartet in the second half and a Mr. Shea commenced lashing into the Aggie forwards for long knifing gains. A steady march culminated when Shea hurtled over the line and Colbert, dropkicked the point. And Shea wasn't through, for a few plays after the next kickoff, he intercepted a Connecticut pass in midfield and outsprinted the pack for a second touchdown. Colbert kicked the point Lyons scored the final B. C. touchdown on a pass from Colbert in the *day's Boston with 51 fourth quarter, and that ended the Connecticut, however, lacking reserve strength opened a brave rally in the late minutes an dannexed a well earned touchdown. A poor Boston punt, two penalties, and end runs by Leo Fisher placed the ball on Boston's 30 yard line. With fourth and one-half a yard to gain, Connecticut crossed up thy opposition and Ryan flipped an was as alone as Robinson Crusoe accurate pass to A Lamoreaux, who before Friday happened along the beach. Lamoreaux stepped across the line for a touchdown added the point a minute later with the place kick. The score at the end was 51 to 13. with the Aggies launching another drive into the domain protected by the Eagles. For Connecticut Ryan, Fisher and played good football backfield. but were handicapped in their attack by the inability of the Storrs forwards to open up the heavier and taller B. C. wall. The Aggies' defense against passes was vulnerable as is evidenced by the fact that Boston scored. four touchdowns on passes and seven out of 15 attehpts. Ed Colacurcio and Captain Sayers played high class football in the A .gie line, particularly the former who broke play after play on the left side. Tomba: did yeomanly work on his flank, getting down under punts at head of the pack. But while the Dole eleven grit. it was playir~ its class deserves a world of opraise for its today.
