Reynolds purchase declined

Mendocino board actions: P.D. Bureau UKIAH - Mendocino County Board of Supervisors Tuesday: MTA - Took no stand on continuing the controversial Mendocino Transit Authority (MTA) bus system, but referred comments to MTA directors for action next week. HUNTERS LAGOON - Discussed a building ban at Hunter's Lagoon near Manchester, which the state Parks Department plans to purchase as an ecological preserve. REYNOLDS CAMPGROUND - Declined to buy a surplus 270-acre portion of Reynolds Wayside Campground, part of the state parks system, preferring to see the land returned to tax rolls. AMBULANCE - Learned that Haverfield's Fort Bragg ambulance service will not renegotiate its county contract when the present agreement expires in July. Supervisors discussed alternatives for ambulance service to indigents and agreed to notify Mendocino Coast Hospital of the problem.
