Golden Globes Awards Shown On TV Wednesday The Golden Globes Awards, with Andy Williams as host, will be presented as a one-hour TV color special at 10 p.m. Wednesday on Channels 4 and 5. The awards by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association are for excellence in motion pictures and television in this country and abroad. The show will originate live from the Cocoanut Grove in Los Angeles. Miss Universe of 1965, Corinna Tsopei of Greece, has been named Miss Golden Globe of 1967, honorary hostess for the awards show. Sandy Koufax, retired Dodgers pitcher, will be one of the award presenters. He will handle the award presentation in the major category of "Most Popular Television Show." Herb Alpert of Tijuana Brass musical fame also has been named as a presenter. The rare battle of two sisters for one trophy shapes up in the movie category, "Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy." Nominees include Lynn Redgrave (her photo is on Page 10) for "Georgy Girl" and her sister Vanessa for "Morgan." Other nominees are Shirley MacLaine, "Gambit"; Elizabeth Hartman, "You're a Big Boy Now," And Jane Fonda, "Any Wednesday." Nominated for "'Most Popular Television Show" are I Spy, Run For Your Life, The Man SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 11, 1967 From U. N. C. L. E., That Girl and The Fugitive. Nominees for "Most Popular Male Television Personality" are Dean Martin, star of his own show; Robert Culp and Bill Cosby of I Spy, Ben Gazzara of Run For Your Life and Chris George of Rat Patrol. In the running for "Most Popular Female Television Personality" are Barbara Eden, Marlo Thomas, Barbara Stanwyck, Phyllis Diller and Elizabeth Montgomery. Movie nominees include Elizabeth Taylor and Natalie Wood for "Best Dramatic Actress"; Steve McQueen and Richard Burton, "Best Dramatic Actor"; Alan Arkin and Walter Matthau, "Best Actor In Musical or Comedy"; Shelley Winters and Geraldine Page, "Best Supporting Actress"; and, for the "Best Original Song": "Strangers In The Night," "A Man And A Woman," "Born Free," "Georgy Girl" and "Alfie." This is the first presentation of the Golden Globe Awards as an independent special. Previously it was part of the Andy Williams show but Williams continues as host. The Hollywood Foreign Press Association, sponsor of this 24th annual awards event, is made up of - Hollywood-based representatives of newspapers from many parts of the world.
