To All Our Examiner Friends Our ownership in the Independence Examiner ceases 10- morrow with 1 the transfer of assets to Oscar Stauffer, Marion Stauffer and Ben F. Weir of Stauffer Publications. A new corporation, Publishing Company, has been set up to succeed The Examiner Printing Company. Mr. Weir takes over as publisher and general manager with the present force 1C- maining Mr. in the editorial, business and mechanical departments. Weir is a good journalist and business man. Ic has been successful in every newspaper field he has entered and comes to Independence with sound experience, fine reputation and serving cagerness to give Independence the best of his ability in organization its newspaper with needs. He has back of him a newspaper and community service. We recommend the new owners and a reputation for successful operation in publisher general. to all readers of The Examiner and the community regret that we sever our ownership relations with The great ExAfter long years of association and service. it is with aminer. We do so with a deep sense of appreciation to the people of Independence and Eastern Jackson County who have read our paper through the years and to the area who have given us financial support through the advermerchants of this tising columns.
