Investing in music is risky

Investing music is risky INVEST, from Page 1H depending on which label he was recording for at the time. And more spin-off bands from the Clinton circle followed. About three years ago, though, Dunbar said, Clinton began a concerted program of funneling money back into the organization and expanding it. That money primarily went for studio time to experiment with new bands and ideas. TODAY CLINTON'S constellation includes about a dozen acts (including the Brides of Funkenstein, Parlette, Zapp, Troutman's Human Body, the Sweatband, Philipe Wynne, formerly of the Spinners, and, most recently, the infamous Sly Stone), his own label (Uncle Jam) and production deals with companies including Warner Bros., Casablanca, Arista and Atlantic.
