Luka Doncic scores 30-plus for 8th straight game

Mavs star matches Wilt Chamberlain for the second-longest streak in NBA history, set 60 seasons ago.

Luka Doncic’s red-hot start continued Friday as the fifth-year pro lit up the visiting Raptors for 35 points in the Mavericks’111-110 victory.

It marked Doncic’s eighth straight game of 30-plus points to start the season, tying Wilt Chamberlain for the second-longest streak in NBA history.

Doncic will need to be even better to have any shot at Chamberlain’s record, which stands at an incredible 23 games set back in 1962-63.

Luka Dončić has now joined Wilt Chamberlain as the only players in@NBA history to score 30+ points in 8-or-more consecutive games to begin a season.

Just how good has Doncic been this season? Friday’s onslaught actually dropped his scoring average ever so slightly, by 0.1 points to an even 36 per game.
