Description

Multi-Color Camera Payload. The mission objective is to test if the camera can be used for attitude determination and control.

kuwaitSAT1 will provide information for the study of coasts and islands through a micro-image captured by a high-quality, high-tech camera. By taking pictures of various cities and areas, the satellite will benefit engineering and environmental studies

Results

On April 5th, 2023, the first series of images were captured by the satellite at approximately 9:36 AM. This includes a chain of five consecutive images (each with a swath width of 80 km) stitched together to give an enlarged aerial view of Kuwait.

Notes

Looks like a NanoAvionics CubeSat, both externally and internally (e.g. solar panels, reaction wheels, tuna can, magnetorquers). It is an educational guess, because a public statement has not been found as of 2023.
