Measure the time difference between detecting the signals and the angle of signal arrival to geolocate its source.

Description

The satellites will follow each other 15-25 kilometers apart in a polar low Earth orbit, enabling both spacecraft to detect the same signals from sources such as ships using radar to navigate. The satellites will then measure the time difference between detecting the signals and the angle of signal arrival to geolocate its source.

Both of them will be positioned in the same orbital plane and will maintain their formation proximity using onboard propulsion systems. This will allow their radar detector payloads to detect, classify, and accurately geolocate Radio Frequency signals, including navigation radars used on ships, by combining the measurement angle of arrival (AoA) and time difference of arrival (TDOA).
