These agencies are involved in the administration of Morris County. They are, or are a part of, the Administrator's and County Counsel's offices.
We are responsible for administrative and supervisory functions of the board of commissioners.
We write and distribute media releases, produce videos and other related media, manage all public-facing websites, the county’s intranet, and all social media channels.
We supervise preparation for admission/commitment of clients to psychiatric hospitals; settle court hearings that protect client rights and privacy; investigate residency status; complete the "Consent for Mental Health Record Search."
We are responsible for day to day operations of Morris County government, implement the Board of County Commissioner’s policies, and prepare the annual budget.The County Administrator is appointed by the County Commissioners (formerly called Freeholders).
We manage all legal matters for the county, and represent the county in litigation. We participate in discussions of major projects requiring a legal perspective. We are appointed by the Board of County Commissioners.
We maintain and loan books, audio books, DVDs, and music CDs. We provide service to the homebound, reference, children’s programs, films, art exhibits, book discussions, computer classes and career seminars.
We're responsible for programs that preserve farmland, open space, historic resources, assist in the buyout of flood-prone residential properties and fund trail construction projects.
