EAST LANSING -- Michigan State receiver Bennie Fowler hasthe option of petitioning for a sixth year of eligibility, and Spartans wouldwelcome it if Saturday's game against Minnesota wasn't his last at SpartanStadium, coach Mark Dantonio said Tuesday.

Fowler, who leads the Spartans with six receiving touchdownsin his senior season, redshirted in 2009 while recovering from a stressfracture in his foot and was limited to five games in 2011 with a foot injury.

"He could actually get a sixth year if he wanted to, buthe's been able to basically rally back at every turn, making the transitionback to just playing, and now he's one of our leading receivers," Dantoniosaid.

"I think that would be up to him. Yeah, we would do that, but I think that he should graduate mid-year here, and he should be able toprobably go on with a future NFL-type opportunity, but we'll see. Those arethings you make decisions on at the end of the year."

Fowler, who has started four games this season while missingone due to a hamstring injury, is third on the team with 30 receptions and the lone senior in the receiving corps.
