Star Wars stunt double reveals she will lose an arm after horrific accident on Resident Evil set

Brit Olivia Jackson, 32, was also a stunt double for Charlize Theron and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley in Mad Max: Fury Road

A stunt double who worked on the new Star Wars film has revealed she will lose an arm after a horrific accident on the set of Resident Evil.


Brit Olivia Jackson, 32, from Buckinghamshire,crashed into a metal camera arm while shooting a high-speed motorbike chase in September.


She was putin an induced coma with head injuries and a punctured lung.


Olivia was filming for forthcoming sci-fi movie Resident Evil: The Final Chapter in South Africa at the time.

Now, it has been revealed she will have her left arm amputated.



According to The Sun, she said: "My left arm is paralysed and is going to have to be amputated.

"My facial scarring is horrible and I wish I had my old face. But I'm truly grateful to be alive."



Olivia was a stunt double for Charlize Theron andRosie Huntington-Whiteley in this year's box office hit Mad Max: Fury Road, Karen Gillan's double in Guardians of the Galaxy, and Gwyneth Paltrow's in Mortdecai.


In September her British husband David Grant, 36, who is also a stunt man, rushed out to South Africa to be by her side.

He wrote on Facebook: “I want you all to know that she has been making steady progress and your thoughts and good vibes are all working so please keep them up!


"She's my inspiration and my world and one tuff little mother f****r!


"She's fighting hard and the team of people working on Olive have been amazing and have been doing some incredible work.

"I whisper to her everyday telling her about the support she's getting worldwide!"



According to her IMDB page, South African-born Olivia has been working as a stuntwoman since 2011.

She is a trained pro fighter and competed in Thailand for five years.

Now based in South Africa she works as an actress, model and stunt double.
