The MPC Orbit (MPCORB) Database

The MPC Orbit (MPCORB) database contains orbital elements of minor planetsthat have been published in theMinor Planet Circulars, theMinor Planet Orbit Supplement and theMinor Planet Electronic Circulars.

At present MPCORB is not available via a non-ftp on this site.

Information on the format of the elements is available via theDocumentation page.

MPCORB.DAT

This includes all minor planet orbits excluding comets.
MPCORB.DAT is available in either uncompressed or gzip-compressed form.The compressed file is about 30% the size of the uncompressed file.

This includes all comets and A/-objects for which the MPC has an orbit. Perturbed orbits are at the current standard epoch.
