Isometric
Name:
Named in honor of Victor Moritz Goldschmidt* (27 January 1888, Zürich, Switzerland – 20 March 1947, Oslo. Norway), the eminent geochemist who formalized perovskite crystal chemistry and identified KNbO3 as a perovskite-structured compound. He is considered (together with Vladimir Vernadsky) to be the founder of modern geochemistry and crystal chemistry, developer of the Goldschmidt Classification of elements.

* Not to be confused with Victor Mordechai Goldschmidt, of Germany, who wrote Atlas der Krystallformen and for whomGoldschmidtite (of Hobbs) is named.
The K analogue ofisolueshite.
Found as inclusions indiamond.

Not to be confused with Goldschmidtite (of Hobbs) [https://www.mindat.org/min-7543.html], a synonym ofsylvanite.
